Description: A tall evergreen tree which grows up to 15 metres (48ft) in height with glossy and tapering leaves which are highly aromatic.
Scent description: Fresh, crisp, herbaceous and camphorous with a woody backnote

 

AROMATHERAPY USES:

Eucalyptus radiata oil has an antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial action.

Skin: Eucalyptus radiata is useful for all types of skin infections, burns, insect bits and wounds. It is believed to help with the pain of shingles.

Mind:  Eucalyptus radiata has a stimulating, invigorating effect, helping to clear the mind and combat fatigue and general debility.
Body: Eucalyptus radiata is a good rubefacient (stimulates local circulation and produces warmth) and decongestant, beneficial for sluggish circulation and for respiratory and viral infections, relieving sinusitis, blocked nose, chestiness, colds, flu and other respiratory problems. It is stimulating, anti-inflammatory and warming, therefore helpful for everyday aches and pains, arthritis and rheumatic conditions in addition to headaches and neuralgia. It can help to relieve headaches and neuralgia.

Blends Well With: Lavender, chamomile, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, cedarwood, ginger
Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant (used in low dilutions), non-sensitising.
